The funeral of Sam Hochweinder occurred at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon under the directions of the Hook & Ladder Company, Rev. G.W. Switzer conducting the service. A large floral offering from the Hook & Ladder boys was an immense ladder of 20 rungs with three broken rungs, two of the latter sacred to the memory of Fred Moore and Michael Devan, deceased members. -- kbz

Samuel Klinebob, better known as Samuel Hochweinder, died this morning at 9 o’clock of hemorrhage of the lungs, at the residence of his mother, on the corner of Market and High Streets. The deceased was 32 years old and had many warm friends who will be pained to learn of his death. The funeral arrangements will be made later.
